Last week, I had the pleasure of meeting Daniel Pocock in one of my favourite places (which is Capo Di Lago). As his blog shows, he was almost close to the area where I live. So he had the courtesy to join me for dinner, despite the long trip he had faced.

It was interesting to finally know someone inside the Debian organization. We discussed about various conferences on free software, how Debian works, my work during the GSoC and the heating system he’s working on in his house.

Finally, he gave me an overview of Software Defined Radio, Ham Radio, RTL-SDR dongles and Deb packages needed to manage it (rtl-sdr and gqrx-sdr). I didn’t know anything about it. This made me curious.

Thanks Daniel.
